老祖母紹興人,正確說法應該是浙江省上虞縣人,也就是紹興的鄉下人.
春夏之初, 江南鄉下遍地野菜. 薺菜, 莧菜, 馬蘭的嫩芽頭, 鄉下人隨手摘上一兩把, 帶回家做菜吃, 最鮮甜. 是餐桌上筷箸交聚的春蔬.
老莧菜桿可以做臭滷, 浸泡豆腐, 成臭豆腐.
鄉下人家家會做臭滷, 沒啥希奇的. 城裡人聽到聞到臭滷, 總是嫌臭; 等吃過臭豆腐, 立刻愛上那既香且臭的好味道.
老祖母年年做臭滷. 她做的臭滷臭得很.
老祖母做了一輩子的臭豆腐. 她用臭滷浸的臭豆腐, 可是祖傳秘方的臭豆腐. 香噴噴, 脆酥酥, 滑潤潤, 齒頰留芳的滋味, 永難忘懷. 繼續閱讀 »

Leave one baby pumpkin on each vine for a large pumpkin.
一株藤留一個小南瓜,可得一個大南瓜.
Cook the extra baby pumpkins with meat to make the most of them.
利用摘下小南瓜炒肉片.

Just like the goats in the neighborhood,
就像農場附近的山羊,
Took the extra zucchinis from the field.

Not enough labor to pick the fruits.
沒有足夠的勞工摘果.
Illegal immigration makes a big issue.
非法移民是個大問題.
Peaches can’t wait.
桃子可不能等.
Now the problem has been solved.
問題已經解決.
Some labor backed to work.
有些勞工回去工作.
The market of over riped peaches dropped to the bottom.
