Day lilies are flowery.
金針花盛多.
What a waste,
太可惜,
Bring nothing to the table.
不用金針花做菜.
Those just wilted are colorful + tasty.
初謝的花朵添色又增味.

Farmer’s simple food—-Stir-fried day lilies
農夫食譜—-素炒金針

One day old day lily flowers, cut into 1/2 inch lengths
剛枯萎金針花數朵, 切1/2吋長
1 bag of deep fry tofu, cut into shreds
油豆腐一包, 切細條
Some greens
一些綠菜葉

Method
做法
Pour the oil into the pan over high heat.
冷油熱鍋.
Add a pinch of salt into the hot pan.
熱鍋撒下一小撮鹽.
Add the deep fry tofu shreds and stir around.
下油豆腐細條, 翻炒.
Pour in 1/4 cup of water, and cook till the deep fry tofu shreds are tender.
倒入1/4杯水, 煮油豆腐細條至軟.
Add the day lily flower segments and stir fry for about 1 min.
下金針花段, 翻炒約一分鐘.
Add the greens and gently stir fry 1/2 min.
下綠菜葉, 略翻炒.
Add the soy sauce as desired.
酌加醬油.
