(7)Sept.27th北一女校友訪大王農場 TFGHA visited DW farm
(from Oct.20th Pruning the willow)
我們擠在廚房等其他人時,
While we packed in the kitchen, waiting for the rest to come,
一位校友看著窗外問,
One visitor looked outside the window and asked,
“你們如何打掃這許多落葉的?”
“So many fallen leaves, how did you clear them up?”
“多數城裡人不願見到庭院有落葉,
“Most city people hate to see falling leaves on their yard,
總要盡力清除它們.
And always make every efforts to get rid of them.
我們農場有一部分落葉留在原地變堆肥, 滋養樹本身;
In our farm, part of the fallen leaves stay there and turn into mulch to nourish the tree itself;
風會把另一部分落葉吹送到天盡頭.
Let the wind sweep the other part to the edge of the sky.
我們只是欣賞落葉飄飄.”
We’ve got nothing else but enjoy the falling leaves.”
農場要做的事太多, 不在掃秋葉.(待續)
