Shepherd’s purse has a strong resemblance to the dandelion.
Especially when it mingles in the field,
Hardly can tell it from the other greens.
Its wild freshness aroma always makes my mouth water.

I have to say first that I love reading your blog!
I actually bought some Wild shepherd’s purse seeds on-line and tried to grow them. Since I never seen the real plants before, other in the dumplings, I couldn’t tell if they’re 薺菜 or weeds!!
I even brought seeds back to Taiwan for my mom to grow, but they rot easily…maybe the soil or weather…
