Kabocha 小南瓜

Pumpkin is out of season,
There are some kabochas from last crop piled on the deck.
An old friend, Shangkuan, told me she had veggie pancakes lately,
So I made a kabocha pancake for breakfast.

不是南瓜季節,
陽台堆了些去年的小南瓜.
老友上官說,最近她在吃蔬菜餅,
於是, 我早餐煎小南瓜餅.

Farmer’s simple food—-Kabocha pancake

Kabocha, skinned(if rough skin) and sliced
Flour or wheat flour
2 eggs
Pinch of salt

Method
Microwave the kabocha slices tender(2-3 min.)
Mix kabocha slices, flour or wheat flour, 2 eggs and salt
High heat the oil in a frying pan
Fry the mixture over medium high heat
Till both sides golden brown

農家食譜—-小南瓜餅

小南瓜,去粗皮,切片
白麵粉或黑麵粉
雞蛋, 二枚
鹽, 小撮

做法
微波熱小南瓜片至軟(2-3分鐘)
混合小南瓜片,麵粉,雞蛋與鹽
煎鍋高溫熱油
中高溫煎小南瓜麵糊
至兩面黃
