Nung-fu saw me got the ladder under the wisteria,
Asked:” What’s up?”
“Pick and pickle the wisteria buds.”
Nung-fu:”Tough luck! Wisteria and me!’
農夫見我搬梯子到紫藤下,
問我, “做何用?”
“摘取紫藤花苞醃漬用.”
“紫藤和我都慘了!”

Farmer’s simple food——-Pickled wisteria bud
Clusters of wisteria flowers
Pick the buds off clusters, clean
Add salt and sugar to taste, mix well
Set aside for 2-4 hours
Serve alone or with other food
The aroma of wisteria is delectable
