After I read your blog, I was walking around Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, and happened to notice ten snow geese flying in formation from a nearby mountain. They glided slowly three times around the lake, and then came in for a long slow landing, just like an airplane coming into an airport after a long journey. If I had not read your blog, I would have never recognized these beautiful birds as they were snow white with dark tips on their wings. Thanks very much.

Chris,
I've learned a lot from allaboutbirds.org that the dark goose is also called blue goose.
A white snow goose visited the farm last year which was different in color from this one. Both of them come from the snow goose family.
I'm happy to know that. Thank you very much!

It is pleasant when you spark an interest in your readers
to learn new things.

I enjoyed this morning reading all about the "snow goose"
