The titbids of the farm-The black bird and the falcon
A black bird couple nested in the red wood grove.
Once the chicks set about chirping for food, the falcon lived in a maple tree by the creek scudded over the red wood trees everyday watching the chicks closely.
The fledged chicks were learning to fly. The falcon skimmed over closer showing its deep concern which almost scared the little ones off the nest.
When the falcon came overhead again, the black bird couple soared up tailing after the falcon high and low in the sky undauntedly. The size of the black birds are incomparable to that of the falcon. Dozens of times, the black birds caught up with the falcon and took a bite on it relentlessly.
The black birds in flock hovering upwards and circling around to sail after the falcon bravely.
There was no way for the falcon to shake off the black birds. It no longer cruised above the red wood grove.
農場小故事-黑鳥與鷹
黑鳥夫婦在紅木林中築了一個窩.
小小黑鳥開始吱吱叫著要食物時, 住在溪谷邊大楓樹上的鷹天天飛掠紅木, 密集注意小小黑鳥.
小小黑鳥的翅膀初長成, 就要學飛了. 鷹飛得更接近黑鳥窩, 深表關懷. 小小黑鳥嚇得差點跌落地.
當鷹再度飛臨黑鳥窩, 黑鳥夫婦猛力一飛, 衝向青天, 隨鷹飛高飛低, 勇敢的追逐鷹. 牠們瘦小的身形與鷹強有力的驅體, 極不成比例. 好幾次,
黑鳥追上鷹, 惡狠狠的啄鷹一口.
黑鳥結伴, 迴旋昇空, 兜圈轉彎. 追鷹不罷休.
鷹被黑鳥所逼, 走投無路, 不再飛到紅木上空搜巡.
