The titbids of the farm-The ring neck pheasant
The male ring neck pheasants have brilliant colorful plumage with garish red cheeks and glowing green neck; the snow white ring feathers rounded like a necklace. It clothed in drab with a long golden tail appended.
While walking in the green field, everyone was attracted by its resplendent appearance and eager to take one more look of it.
One male ring neck pheasant came to the brush by the country road. It had just poked its head out of the brush to glance at the fleeting cars headed for south and north, and retreated right away.
A car flashed by halted sharply not too far away. A traveler got off the car and merged into the thickets searching for it.
The beauty kills the Ring Neck Pheasant.

雄鴙雞羽毛彩色鮮麗. 牠有艷紅的面頰, 亮綠的脖頸; 一圈雪白的頸羽, 項鍊似的圍掛脖子上. 全身淺棕色, 附加一個長長的金色尾羽.

有輛匆匆路過的車子, 煞時在草叢不遠處停住. 車上走下來的旅人, 隱入草叢, 尋尋覓覓.

Dear Farmer,
Did you brew your own wine using the grapes that you grow? It’s amazing. We would like to ask your opinion of planting the fruit trees in this area, Hollister or Gilroy. We plan to select 2 or 3 of the following fruit trees for our home: JuJube, Persimmon (soft one), Koran Pear, Sweet plum (dark skin color), Peach (skin can be peeled by hand). Which one is easy to grow in the back yard? Please also advise us where to buy these trees in this area. Thank you very much.

All the plants you mentioned above grow well in Hollister and Gilroy. To me, jujube and persimmon are less headaches, others need to take care of different diseases. As long as they bring me fruits, I don’t mind work for them.
It’s rare to find a jujube plant here in north California. Usually, nursery will take your order and its gonna cost you a fortune. You can easily buy the rest in the local nurseries. Check the yellow pages, look for the nurseries nearby. Now is planting season, go to Lowes or Home depot or OSH nursery department, check with them. They may have bare root plants at a good price.
You may also check in Chinese with “101 orchid center” (408)842-5111. They sell orchids and oriental plants as well.
Check more than three nurseries to get a better idea.
