I thought pheasant and peacock belong to the different families.
The male pea bird is peacock.  The female is peahen.  And their baby is peachick.  That&#039;s what the hatcheries call them.

		<description>It is enjoyable to learn something new every day.  Your blog makes it easy.  I didn&#039;t know what a &quot;peahen&quot; is; I thought some kind of migrant bird.  Looking it up, found it is your pheasant.   I learned Peahen is female pheasant and the male is Peacock.

Thanks for all your hard work writing, providing pictures and showing us the farmlife for us city folks.</description>
