   It’s great to know that the 土茯苓塊根 is in good hands. My friend told me that it will grow tall but I have no idea how it would look like. I cannot wait to see them again in June…

   Smilax glabra was used to make “Sarsaparilla”, a popular drink during the American old west. (1820-1890′s) Some called it “Sasparilla”. It was also called “the granddaddy of all root beers”. There are references to Sasparilla in many old American cowboy movies. They say it tastes a little like modern root beer drinks.
