The titbids of the farm-The peacock and the rose
The peacocks are fond of having a fine stride in the rose field. They open their mouths to peck at all the rose buds in sight.
The blue green peacocks strut among the white, pink, yellow and red roses making the most resplendent and sumptuous scenery. Marvelous!
Occasionally, they skimmed over to land in the neighbor’s farm. The neighbor also plants roses. The peacocks boldly pecked on the buds one by one. The neighbor hurriedly dash out of the house and waved his hands driving the peacocks away. “Shoo!” “Shoo!” “Shoo!” The neighbor drove them all out. “Yarp!” “Yarp!” “Yarp!” The peacocks cried as they flew back to the farm.
They are flush with more than three hundred rose bushes in the farm.
Peacocks and roses, one can hardly have both.
農場小故事-孔雀與玫瑰
孔雀喜歡在玫瑰田散步. 牠們看見含苞待放的玫瑰花, 張嘴便啄.
藍綠的孔雀走在白粉黃紅玫瑰中間, 色彩艷麗奪目. 真美!
牠們偶而低空飛越農場, 降落鄰家. 鄰家種四,五株玫瑰, 孔雀毫不客氣, 將僅有的幾個花苞, 一口一個啄下肚. 鄰居忙從屋內衝出來, 揮手驅趕孔雀. 口中還咻!咻!咻!不停. 孔雀雅!雅!雅! 叫著, 飛回農場.
農場玫瑰三百多株, 儘夠牠們奢侈享用.
孔雀與玫瑰, 不可兼得.
