The titbids of the farm-The pine tree
A neighbor raised his horse in a small orchard.
In addition to the grass on the ground, the leaves and fruit on the trees were feed for the horse.
The horse stretched its tongue hard to wrap the leaves and fruit, and pulled them into his mouth to nibble. He also stripped the bark off and tore it up for happy chewing.
It did not take too long before all the fruit trees were naked.
Only one pine tree was left alone by the fence.
The pine needle-shaped leaves are slender, prickly and thorny. Having the pine needles always made the horse sting, which kept the horse from gorging on it.
Though it lost a few needles, the pine tree was still alive.
農場小故事-松樹
鄰居在小小的果園養了一匹馬.
馬吃地上的青草, 也吃樹上的葉與果.
馬伸長舌頭用力一捲, 將樹葉果子統統拉進嘴裡啃嚙. 更不放過樹皮, 一層一層剝離樹幹, 撕下來大嚼.
不多久, 果樹都只剩禿枝.
僅圍籬邊一棵松樹存留.
松有針形的尖葉, 刺刺扎扎的. 馬吃松葉, 常被扎到, 無法暢懷大吃.
雖然時有損失一些針葉, 松樹尚能維持生長.
