Loquat Club  2010

In May and June, between spring and summer, the loquats are getting ripe.
Rurality lovers, join the Loquat Club!

Meet at the first Saturday of the following months,
Apr/3, May/1, Jun/5, Jul/3, Aug/7, Sep/4
Hours:  10:00AM-2:00PM
Work: Assign a loquat tree for yourself in 2010, and then trim, thin, pluck, prune…..
Lunch: Potluck(DWfarm offers 1 seasonal farm dish)
Harvest: The fruits of the whole season from the assigned loquat tree belong to you( No less than 30-50lb/Tree).  In addition to the satisfactory of expecting loquat growth and getting to know other farmers who like rurality the same as you do, it is also full of fun to have Nung-fu and Nung-fuh share their experiences being the owners of the loquat trees, as well as to be undisturbed with birds, animals, plants in the wide open, also to enjoy the natural tree ripe loquats so delicious.
Fee: $100.00/Year( As low as $2.00-3.00 Dollars/lb of loquat, market price around $2.99-4.99/lb)

2010  枇杷俱樂部

五六月, 春夏之交, 樹上的枇杷漸漸成熟.
嚮往田園生活的朋友們, 快來參加枇杷俱樂部!

四至九月第一個星期六, 聚會一次
Apr/3, May/1, Jun/5, Jul/3, Aug/7, Sep/4
時間: 10:00AM-2:00PM
工作:認定一棵2010年專屬枇杷樹, 修枝, 摘果, 採收, 整樹….
午餐:Potluck(農場提供農場時菜一)
收穫:全季枇杷統統歸屬枇杷樹主(不少於30-50lb枇杷/樹). 除了期待枇杷成長滿足感, 認識喜愛田園樂同好, 並且有經驗農夫農婦與您分享做枇杷樹主人的寶貴心得, 接觸完全不受干擾的鳥雀動物植物大自然, 享受樹上天然成熟的美味枇杷, 不亦樂乎!
會費:$100元/年(約合枇杷 $2-3元/磅, 市價約 $2.99-4.99/磅)

Duck, 1 or 1/2, cleaned
Soy sauce, 8 or 4 Ts
Cooking oil, 2 cups

Method

Cook duck in boiling water, 15-30 min.,or till not bleed.  Never cook to tender.
Marinate with soy sauce, over night
Pour oil into the pot over high heat
Fry the duck till both sides brown
Remove the duck to cool off, chop and dish

**Buy duck in the Chinese super market.  Cook young duck 15-20 min.

鴨, 一隻或半隻, 洗淨
醬油, 8湯匙或4湯匙
油, 2杯

做法
滾水煮鴨,15-30分鐘,或肉不出血. 絕不可燜至軟爛.
醬油醃泡隔夜
倒油入鍋, 高熱
炸鴨, 兩面焦黃
起鍋待涼, 剁斬裝盤

I told Nung-fu, ” Too many gopher outlets here.”
Nung-fu said: ” Unless you saw a gopher, I’m not going into the tunnel to look for it.”

Taste of Home Town—-Wormwood glutinous rice ball, green glutinous rice ball

Wrap
Glutinous rice flour, 1/2 package
Wormwood or green veggie(Spinach will do), a pinch

Inside
Ground pork, 1/4 lb
bamboo shoot, finely chopped, 1 Ts
Dry mushroom, finely chopped, 1 Ts
Soy sauce, 1 Ts
Salt, 1/4 ts
Rice wine, 1 ts

Method
Cook wormwood in boiling water till tender, about 1-2 min
Remove wormwood to cool, mix well with glutinous rice flour
Mix inside ingredients, make glutinous rice balls
Cook glutinous rice balls in boiling water till float. Add water till it boils thrice.

家鄉味-艾青湯圓, 青綠湯圓

皮
糯米粉, 1/2包
艾草或綠菜(菠菜等易煮軟者皆可), 1撮

餡兒
肉末, 1/4磅
筍丁, 1湯匙
香菇丁, 1湯匙
醬油, 1湯匙
鹽, 1/4茶匙
米酒, 1茶匙

做法
滾水開蓋煮艾草(或綠菜)至軟, 約1-2分鐘
取出艾草, 待涼拌進糯米粉, 揉勻
肉餡兒拌勻, 取小塊綠皮裹入適量肉餡兒
滾水煮綠湯圓至浮出水面, 三滾即可
