Farmer’s simple food—-Crowned zucchini

1 large tough zucchini, cut in half, take out the flesh and chop it
Ground pork, 1/4 or 1/8lb, marinate with 1/2 ts wine, 1 ts soy sauce and 1/2 ts tapioca flour or corn starch for 20 min.
Dry dycon with chili /or without, 1 ts, chop it Some  greens

Method

Mix zucchini, pork, dry dycon well, and put it back into zucchini Microwave over high heat, 4-5 min
Remove it onto the greens

1個老大義大利瓜, 切兩半,取瓜肉並剁碎
絞豬肉, 1/4或1/8磅, 用1/2茶匙酒,1茶匙醬油和1/2茶匙太白粉或玉米粉醃約20分鐘
蘿蔔乾, 辣或不辣, 1茶匙, 剁碎
一些綠菜葉
做法

The titbids of the farm-The lemon tree

A lemon tree was planted in a pot.  It didn’t get adequate water and the soil became dry.
The drier the soil, the harder it is for water to run through the soil.
Without moisture to nourish the roots, the lemon tree turned yellow and withered.
One lemon rootlet extended to the damp bottom of the pot.   The delicate tiny rootlet gradually forced its way through the hard soil down to the bottom where the water and nutrients accumulated and eventually grew to a fine taproot.
The lemon tree regained its lush green and bumper crops.

農場小故事-檸檬樹

盆內種了一株檸檬樹, 水分供給不足, 盆土日益乾硬.
土越乾硬, 水越滲不下去.
土中的根無法接受水分滋潤, 檸檬樹逐漸枯黃.
有一枝檸檬幼根, 向潮濕的盆底伸展.  它纖柔微細的根一點一點鑽下去, 終於穿過硬土, 到達盆底, 吸收盆底積留的水分與養分, 茁長成一枝完美的主根.
檸檬樹再度綠意茂盛, 果實纍纍.

All about Tofu—-Fresh day lily flower w/Dry Tofu

Fresh day lily flower, a handful, roughly chopped
Dry Tofu, 4 pcs, shredded
Meat, 1/4 lb, shredded
Oil, 2 Ts

Method
Pour oil in pan, over high heat
Add meat, stir fry till half cooked
Add dry tofu, gently stir fry for 1 min.
Add day lily flowers, till get tender or faded

新鮮金針花, 1手把, 粗切
豆腐乾, 4塊, 切絲
肉, 1/4磅, 切絲
油, 2湯匙

做法
倒油入熱鍋
入肉絲, 炒至半生熟
入豆乾絲, 輕炒1分鐘
入金針花, 炒軟或萎

The titbids of the farm-The hummingbird

A hummingbird sipped the nectar around the red roses in front of the windows.
Wings vibrating at super high speed, it restlessly whirred from one flower to another.
The hummingbird saw the reflection of the radiant rose’s image in the window glass, mistook it as the genuine and dashed  over.
“Bang!” It hit its head on the window glass and plopped to the ground.
The dog heard the bang, went right over to check on it and took the semiconscious hummingbird away.

農場小故事-地上的蜂鳥

一隻蜂鳥圍繞玻璃窗前的紅玫瑰啜飲花蜜.
牠的翅膀迅速轉動, 從一朵花到另一朵花, 忙得沒有片刻休息.
牠看到玻璃窗映照出紅玫瑰嬌艷的假象, 誤當是真的紅玫瑰, 猛衝過去.
“咚!” 一頭撞上玻璃窗, 跌落在地.
狗聽見”咚!”的聲音, 趕去查看.  將半昏半醒的蜂鳥銜走.

Farmer’s simple food—-Bush bean w/ Ground pork

Bush bean, 1 handful, remove both ends, roll cut and microwave 1 min over high heat
Ground pork,1/2 lb,marinate with 1Ts soy sauce+1/2 ts rice wine+1/2 ts tapioca powder or corn starch
Red hot pepper, 1 pc, roughly chopped
Salt, to taste
Oil, 1 Ts

Method
Pour oil in pot, over high heat
Add ground pork, stir fry till half done
Add bush bean, stir fry till gets soft
Add red hot pepper and salt,  mix well

Farmer’s simple food—-Loquat chicken

Loquat, 10-12 pcs, seeded, peeled or not, cut in quarters
1/2 or 1/3 chicken breast, sliced and marinated(2Ts soy sauce, 1ts Rice wine, 1/2ts Tapioca flour or corn starch)
Cilantro, 1 pinch
Oil, 2 Ts

Method
Pour oil in pot, over high heat
Add chicken breast, stir fry till half done
Add loquat, stir fry till loquat gets tender
Add cilantro for decoration

The titbids of the farm-The tea tree

In between spring and summer, a tea tree near the shade was in bloom.  The small, starlet-like flowers covered the whole tree.  A flood of brilliant red glared in the sun.
After the shade was taken apart and the plants in there were moved away.  There was no need to water the plants.  No one took extra care of the tea tree.
In spring, the half dead tea tree was bare of a single bud.
Remembering the glory of its striking red and splendid scenery in the past,  Nung-fu urgently watered it several times a day.
By the end of autumn, all the green leaves of the trees in the open fields had turned yellow, except the tea tree growing plenty of flower buds.
The tea tree bloomed and seeded to accomplish its annual mission before the frigid hoarfrost came.

農場小故事-茶樹

春夏之際, 蔭棚邊的茶樹開花.  它的花朵不大, 小星星似的開滿樹.  艷紅一片, 燦爛在陽光下.
蔭棚拆除後, 棚內植物搬移.  不再需水澆灌植物, 也就沒人特別照顧這株茶樹.
春天, 半枯的茶樹上, 看不到一朵茶花花苞.
懷念它昔日耀眼的紅妝, 璀璨的盛景.  農夫緊急給水, 一日澆灌數次.
秋將過去, 田野上的綠樹葉都已變黃.  茶樹卻新長許多花苞.
趕在寒冬霜降前, 茶樹開花又結籽, 完成今年的任務.
